So you’ve decided to pave your outdoor patio and you’re looking for the best patio tile. Or maybe you’ve decided to tile your sidewalk, or another outside amenity to your home. Which is the best outdoor tile?
Eco Depot has identified three types of tiles that are great for using outdoors.
- Ceramic – Ceramic tiles are one of the most popular choices for outdoor tile work. They are available in a lot of different colors, sizes, and textures, making them very versatile. Ceramic is man-made. As such, it ranges from highly durable to so-so. If you get the right ceramic tile, it will last for a long time and make your outside area look great.
- Porcelain – Porcelain is denser than ceramic and better able to stand against moisture. What more could you ask for of an outside tile? Furthermore, if you look for porcelain tiles with at least a PEI of 4, then they’ll be resistant to chipping and scratching.
- Slate – Slate tiles look natural because they are made from natural rock. They can also withstand all weather conditions. Slate tiles make great patio pavers or deck materials.
